Canada, which started producing diamonds in 1998, is now the third-largest producer of diamonds. Canada also has several large diamond mines and produces approximately 3,290 kilograms annually.
Angola, another nation in Africa, is also known for its diamonds and produces approximately 9.75 million carats (equivalent to 1,950 kilograms) of diamonds each year. The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) consists of several major diamond mines, which produce roughly 8.35 million carats (or about 1,170 kilograms) of diamonds annually.
