Filipino jewellery brand Jhaena Jewels has expanded its operations to Surat, India, strengthening its presence in the global diamond manufacturing industry. Surat is considered one of the world’s major centres for diamond cutting and polishing, with a large portion of globally traded diamonds passing through the city’s manufacturing sector.
Jhaena Jewels CEO and founder Haena Sia-Foo said the expansion allows the company to operate closer to where natural mined diamonds and gemstones are processed. “Through our expansion in Surat, India, we are operating closer to where many of the world’s diamonds are cut, polished and brought to life,” Sia-Foo said.
The company said the move is expected to strengthen its international sourcing network, manufacturing operations and product development capabilities. Marketing consultant Faye Ramirez noted that consumers increasingly seek transparency, craftsmanship and authenticity in luxury products.
As part of its expansion, the company is also opening opportunities for wholesalers, resellers and jewellery entrepreneurs seeking access to international sourcing and manufacturing channels. Jhaena Jewels said its global manufacturing network now includes operations in India, Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand. Its flagship store is located in Olongapo City.
