Eddie Le Vian. CEO Le Vian Group

“My generation of siblings took the helm in 2000 and gave ourselves the job of predicting the trends and creating thousands of new designs and more recently, we predict consumer sentiments and deduce the jewelry trends that tie into those sentiments “ says  Eddie Le Vian, CEO-Le Vian Group.

Eddie Le Vian is the CEO at Le Vian Group. He is an expert in natural color diamonds and gems, who used the family’s centuries of experience to bring a level of quality that stands apart. Le Vian only allows the sale of natural genuine gems and diamonds.

In an Interview with PRECIOUS WORLD, Eddie Le Vian gives a rather simple expression of the world-renowned Group with his well-known simplicity…

Some excerpts:

Though Le Vian Group is a popular global brand, a brief background story from you would be welcomed, especially by the younger generation. Besides the history, please touch upon the craftsmanship and designs of yesteryears!

From ancient royalty to today’s red carpet, no one colors your world like Le Vian. Our oldest pieces date back to 1500 but it was our being chosen as the guardian of the Persian royal jewels that made us see ourselves as the guardian of the jewels focusing on bringing single mine gems to the world. Le Vian was established in the US in 1950 by our late father Mr. A. LeVian and upon his passing in 2,000 Le Vian turned itself into the world’s leading forecaster of jewellery trends.

How widespread is Le Vian’s jewellery presence, as in retail in the U.S, other countries, number of stores, etc?

The Le Vian brand is sold in 2,700 locations in the US and 110 stores in Canada and 75 stores in the UK as well as 120 ships traveling the globe and 25 stores in the Caribbean and 15 stores in Israel.

Please elaborate on Le Vian jewellery, which is well known for its colour, drama and exquisite designs. I’m curious about the sources of the colour gems, as they are so varied! Some information, please?

My generation of siblings took the helm in 2000 and gave ourselves the job of predicting the trends and creating thousands of new designs and dozens of new collections a year that tie into those trends. More recently, we predict consumer sentiments and deduce the jewelry trends that tie into those sentiments.

The presence of Le Vian at the recent Red Carpet has created a stir worldwide. Our readers will highly appreciate your ‘picture’ of the event, complete with the reactions of the audience at the event!

The 2025 Le Vian Red Carpet Revue was truly magical! From the on-trend Ombré’ Green step and repeat to the unconventional choice of master mentalist Lior Suchard as the MC, Le Vian’s out-of-the-box approach garnered wide acclaim. Not to mention, the presence of Multiple Award Winning Jared President Claudia Cividino, who came straight from a board meeting to meet Le Vian Jared collectors, added a touch of prestige to the event. Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray also captivated the crowd, making the evening unforgettable.

Impressively, the event achieved a record-breaking 4.3 million views LIVE on Facebook, surpassing viewership numbers of any Hollywood Red Carpet event. The question now is, how will Le Vian top this success next year as they celebrate their 25th red carpet anniversary? The anticipation for what’s to come is already building!

I understand Le Vian deals with only natural stones, but the Lab Grown Diamonds ( LGDs ) are widely discussed now. What’s your opinion, and how do you see LGDs as a competition?

There is certainly a place for synthetic diamonds since not everyone can afford a genuine diamond.

However, we object to giving GIA certificates to synthetic diamonds and are not happy about the greenwashing and confusing language and false narratives for the synthetics.

Finally, your brown diamonds are becoming a rage of late, especially among the Z generation! Where do you see this trend going in the coming years?

As we begin the 25th Anniversary Jubilee of Chocolate Diamonds which coincides with Mocha Mousse becoming the Oantone color of the year and De Beers announcing their beacon program that is inspired by the ale Vian Chocolate Diamonds which and Chocolate Ombré we see the category appealing to more collectors and continuing to grow with the new generations
