Korea Trade delegation visits India to explore LGD market opportunities

A high-level delegation from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) visited the GJEPC Regional Office in Delhi on 19th November.

The meeting focused on exploring opportunities in the Indian lab-grown diamond (LGD) sector, centring on global primary markets for LGDs and on LGD manufacturing facilities.

Mr Anil Sankhwal, Regional Chairman – North, GJEPC raised concerns regarding the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and Korea. The Korean delegation assured that they would engage with the Korean Embassy in Delhi to explore potential solutions and address these concerns.

Mr Sankhwal also encouraged the Koreans to participate in the IIJS Premiere Show and Buyer-Seller Meets (BSM) either in India or Korea to facilitate direct business interactions based on specific
