The ALROSA Group of Russian diamond mining companies, which is the world leader in diamond production, plans to sell the largest diamond in the history of Russia at an auction.
As the TASS news agency reported on Saturday, May 3, a unique stone weighing more than 100 carats is called the “New Sun”, which has a rare fantasy colour, Vivid Yellow!
Plans for the rare diamond were shared by the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev, answering the question of what ALROSA intends to do with the diamond in the future. According to the governor, the diamond is planned to be sold at an auction. However, Nikolaev did not name the possible date of holding the auction.
The ALROSA Group of Russian diamond mining companies has diamond reserves for the next 30 years of production while maintaining the current level of production.
