Trans Atlantic Gem Sales (TAGS), in proud partnership with SODIAM E.P., is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the most recent rough diamond tender, held in Luanda.
Viewings were conducted at the SODIAM facilities from 23–26 June 2025, with bidding closing on Friday, 27 June. TAGS invited 30 of its top-performing specialist clients from across the globe to participate in this exclusive sale.
The tender featured a selection of 17 exceptional +10.8 carat rough diamonds, totalling 922.49 carats, sourced from four of Angola’s leading mines.
We are pleased to report that 15 stones, amounting to 865.19 carats, were successfully sold, achieving a total sales value exceeding USD 15.5 million, a result that surpassed the expectations of the participating producers.
This outcome reflects the continued strength of demand for large, high-value natural diamonds and reinforces the relevance of Angola as a key source of premium rough diamond supply.
