The World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) kicked off its Centenary Year in Paris, the same city in which the association was originally established in 1926. The three-day gathering of members, industry leaders, strategists and opinion makers opened at the Comet Bourse Auditorium on October 27, 2025, and concluded on October 29, 2025, at the headquarters of the Confédération International de la Bijouterie, Joaillerie, Orfèvrerie des Diamants, Perles et Pierres (UFBJOP), France’s national jewellery association, which hosted the event.
Some 350 persons from more than 30 countries attended the congress in person, with about 1,000 more following proceedings live online.
Evenings during the congress were celebrated in real Parisian style, with a gala cocktail dinner on October 27 being held in the elegant Halles aux Grains at the Bourse du Commerce – Pinault Collection. It followed a reception at UFBJOP, where CIBJO’s 99-year-old archive was put on display for congress participants.
The traditional national dinner was held during the evening of October 28, 2025, in the spectacular setting of the 17th Century Luxembourg Palace, originally the royal residence of the regent Marie de’ Medici, mother of King Louis XIII, and today the seat of the Senate, the upper house of the French parliament.
The following is a comprehensive overview of the 2025 CIBJO Congress. It includes reports of the major sessions and panel discussions that took place over the three-day event, video recording of every session, photo galleries of sessions and evening events, the 10 special reports released by CIBJO commissions and committees prior to the congress, and a digital binder containing session agendas and downloadable copies of reports, presentations and documents that were featured.
