The LDB announces the New Council of Management and elects its First Female President

The London Diamond Bourse held its Annual General Meeting on 25th June 2026. For the first time in the Bourse’s history, Charlotte Rose becomes the first woman ever to lead the London Diamond Bourse and is believed to be the first woman to serve as President of any diamond bourse in the world.

After two and a half years as President, David Troostwyk passes the baton to Charlotte. He takes up the position of Vice President, allowing the two to continue the shared vision for the London Diamond Bourse they have built together. LDB President Charlotte Rose said, “I am honoured that the Council of Management has entrusted me with the role of President. I am conscious, too, of what this particular election represents. The London Diamond Bourse has been trading since 1940, and I am the first woman to lead it. I would rather that fact were unremarkable, and one day it will be. For now, I take it as a sign that this is an industry capable of change, and that our members are ready for it. I want to thank David Troostwyk, whose leadership has shaped this Bourse and who continues alongside me as Vice President. I am fortunate to inherit so much of his work, and glad to carry it on with him. With the experience around this table, we have a strong team ready to serve our members and the wider UK diamond and jewellery industry.”
