The Pink Diamond, or the Grand Condé, will be on view at an exhibition from 17 Oct 2026 to 3 Jan 2027

This extraordinary stone has passed through the hands of French princes, queens, and revolutionaries, survived a dramatic theft, and spent decades quietly resting in one of France’s most celebrated private collections. Now, a century after its disappearance, it is poised to reappear in the light.

From 17 October 2026 to 3 January 2027, the Musée Condé at the Château de Chantilly will dedicate a special exhibition to this singular gemstone. Organised in partnership with L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, and supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, the show promises to be one of the most significant jewellery events in recent French cultural memory: a rare meeting of historical scholarship, advanced gemmological science, and the kind of romantic intrigue that only the most exceptional objects seem to attract.
