Botswana’s diamond recent agreement with De Beers indicates that they will continue as partners and resolve any remaining issues amicably.
Botswana’s President Duma Boko said: “We have a longstanding partnership which has benefited this country, which has carried on for those many years. We are confident that it will endure into the future.”
“Where there are any niggling issues, as I understand they have been, and there probably still are, we will work together as we should, as partners who work together along the way. We will engage with each other in the utmost good faith,” concluded the president.
