Westgold Resources awards Barminco Great Fingall a 3-year production contract

Westgold Resources Limited is an Australian gold mining company. They operate multiple mines and processing facilities in Western Australia’s Murchison and Southern Goldfields regions. Westgold Resources has awarded Perenti’s underground mining business Barminco, a three-year development and production contract for the Great Fingall Mine in Western Australia valued at $200 million.  The scope of works include mine development, production, and associated underground mining services with mobilisation expected to begin in July 2025.

Westgold, which has a market capitalisation of $2.74 billion, says the award of this contract for one of its smaller operations provides the company with the opportunity to redeploy its team and equipment currently at Great Fingall to its larger, owner-operated mines.
