Zenith Minerals has extended high-grade zones at its Red Mountain breccia-pipe gold discovery in Queensland, returning exceptional reverse circulation (RC) drilling hits of 93 metres grading 0.43 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 34 metres grading 0.39g/t gold. The company’s results flowed from a recent RC drilling program on the emerging Red Mountain intrusion-related gold (IRG) deposit. Previously reported drilling included the standout hit of 122 metres grading 1.28g/t gold from 209 metres, including 55m at 2.18g/t gold within a thick rhyolite sill.
After completing the RC drilling, the company has ‘upped the ante’ and kicked off diamond drilling, with a single diamond tail planned to extend mineralisation to at least 500 metres below surface within the pipe. The hole will also test the potential for a high-grade feeder pipe – a feature often seen in other Queensland breccia pipe systems.
Zenith Minerals managing director Andrew Smith said: “These latest assays complete the RC dataset from the October 2025 program and provide our clearest view yet of how the upper part of the Red Mountain system fits together. We now have continuous RC coverage along the northwest trend, with gold mineralisation tracking the breccia margin and strengthening where the rhyolite thickens and the breccia–rhyolite contact is best developed.”
Zenith’s primary focus is its gold portfolio, which includes the company’s Dulcie gold project in Western Australia’s Southern Cross greenstone belt. The company’s Dulcie Far North prospect already has a mineral resource of 8.2 million tonnes grading 1.2 g/t for 302,000 gold ounces. Meanwhile, at its Dulcie target, Zenith is running two rigs across a six-kilometre corridor, looking for a repeat performance.
